You will receive a QR Code after you place your order. Here are the steps for setting up your eSIM. First of all, please go setting → cellular, and then click add eSIM (add cellular plan), and there are 2 ways to install your eSIM. One is scanning QR Code while another one is to key in the activation code. You may choose either way to install the eSIM. However, please note that the internet is require for installing eSIM. Please make sure your mobile data is on, or please link to Wi-Fi or hotspot.

Now, you may scan your QR Code. The QR code was sent to your email, please check the SPAM folder if you do not receive the eSIM email. You may also find your QR code in your order history, please use your email to login OKsim website. If you are not able to scan the QR code for some reasons, you may key in the eSIM activation code by clicking the blue button below. You can find the activation code on the email as well.

At this step, you may name your eSIM as OKsim or use the default name is fine, too. Name your eSIM as OKsim is easier to distinguish your original plan and eSIM plan. Your original SIM card plan is usually showing as [primary] if you do not manually change it.

Default voice line, please choose your original SIM card plan (primary), so you can still receive calls and text message while using eSIM. According to the government policy, we do not provide eSIM with phone number. Which means, even if you choose Taiwan eSIM as the default voice line, it will not work for voice call function.

The last but most important step is this one. Please choose OKsim as default cellular (or, mobile data), otherwise the eSIM will not work. If you still in your country and need to use the data service, please go setting → cellular (or, mobile data), on the top of the page – Cellular, click it and choose your original SIM card, it usually shows as primary. *Please change it back to OKsim when you arrived at the destination.
